Previously referred to as ‘Australian Tawny Port’, our Australian Tawny shows the classic caramel treacle colour of a tawny style. Delicious aromas of spicy fruit cake and raisins are immediate on the nose, while on the palate this fortified is luscious and intense with caramel and aged rancio flavours – a direct result of blending mature and younger wines. The wood maturation of this wine enhances the developed qualities of richness and intensity. This port shows sweetness balanced by the drying sensations derived from extended ageing in oak barrels, and a lengthy and lingering spicy finish.

Porto Ferreira Lágrima White has a straw colour with a fresh and intense aroma showing nuances of flowers and fruit. Ageing in wood confers it complexity and richness. The balance of the wine is conferred at the time of harvesting when the point of halting fermentation is determined which dictates its level of alcohol-sugar. The particular sweetness of this wine gives it its unique character. 

Porto Ferreira White has an appealing yellow-straw hue and a fresh but intense aroma, with attractive floral and fruit tones. Soft and very well balanced in the mouth, it is a rich and full wine, with added complexity and nobility deriving from a careful ageing in wood.

McWilliam's Hanwood Estate 5-year Tawny has lifted caramel and hazelnut characters being prominent on the nose. Hints of red berries, caramel and nut flavours follow through onto the palate and the mouthfeel is full with some sweetness but this is balanced by clean acid and a fine tannin backbone.
