The integrated bouquet shows ripe raspberry and blackberry
fruits, with just a hint of black pepper, all on a background of
Aged in 100% new French Oak St Martin Grande Reserva
barrels, the almost perfect 2006 vintage in Coonawarra
produced dense, age worthy wines which have soft supple
structures and rich sweet berry fruit. Even though this wine is
100% new French oak, the oak is still hidden behind the huge
fruit structure, showing the amazing quality of this vintage. Only
1.2 tonnes per acre was produced on this vineyard for this wine.
This still tight wine shows complexity in its big pepper and fruit
aromas, cedary oak and chocolate like bottle development. It
can be enjoyed now with hard cheese or maybe some grilled
lamb chops, although this wine has been made specifically to
age, so will keep easily until 2025.
