How we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.
Amatos Liquor Mart is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy sets out how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Amatos Liquor Mart (trading name) operates from Shop 2, 267-277 Norton Street, Leichhardt NSW 2040, Sydney, Australia. We sell alcohol, packaged food, and related products in-store, and we host events throughout the year.
This policy applies to personal information we collect through:
When we say "we", "us", or "our" in this policy, we mean Amatos Liquor Mart. When we say "you" or "your", we mean any individual whose personal information we collect.
The types of personal information we collect depend on how you interact with us.
When you subscribe to our newsletter through this website, we collect:
When you sign up, you are automatically subscribed to all of our interest categories (for example, wine, spirits, beer, events, and food). You can update your preferences at any time using the link in any of our emails.
When you use a contact form or the product enquiry form on this website, your message is delivered to our email inbox via Web3Forms (operated by Web3Forms, web3forms.com), a third-party form delivery service. Web3Forms processes the information you submit (such as your name, email, phone number, and message) solely for the purpose of delivering it to us. Web3Forms does not permanently store your form data after delivery.
When you place an order through our online order form, your order details are delivered to our email inbox via Formspree (operated by Formspree, Inc., formspree.io), a third-party form delivery service. Formspree processes the information you submit (including your name, date of birth, email address, phone number, delivery address, and order details) for the purpose of delivering it to us.
Under the Liquor Act 2007 (NSW), we are required to collect your date of birth to verify you are 18 years or older before processing an order for alcohol.
When you type a delivery address into our order form, the text you type is sent to Nominatim, the address search service run by the OpenStreetMap Foundation, to suggest matching addresses. Like any website you connect to, it also receives technical data such as your IP address. The lookup runs as you type, whether or not you pick a suggestion. If you'd rather not use it, you can choose pick-up or call us with your delivery address.
Our contact, enquiry, and order forms use hCaptcha (operated by Intuition Machines, Inc.) to verify that submissions are made by real people and to prevent spam. During the check, hCaptcha collects technical data such as your IP address, browser and device information, and how you interact with the page. hCaptcha does not receive the details you type into our forms.
We use Mailchimp (operated by The Rocket Science Group LLC, a subsidiary of Intuit Inc.) to manage our marketing email list and to send promotional and informational emails to subscribers who have opted in. Subscribers may have joined through this website, in-store sign-ups, or other channels where we collected explicit consent for marketing.
When you contact us by phone, email, or visit our store, we may collect your name and contact details in order to respond to your enquiry or provide our services. We may also collect personal information in-store through sign-up forms for our mailing list.
