Standing barely two-feet tall, Babydoll refers to the flock of miniature sheep that graze among the vineyards of Yealands Estate. Too short to reach the fruit, these pint-sized organic-weeders provide year round mowing and pest control, plus a handy dose of fertiliser. Nurtured from the ground up with sustainable practices and produced in a carboNZero certified winery, the pure and intense flavours of Baby Doll wines reflect the winery's innovative thinking in tune with the environment.

Pinot Gris can vary in the amount of colour picked from the berries and this year there is that slight tell-tale sign of a pink skinned white. Lifted floral and ester characters dominate the aroma with a background of musk. The palate has richness to it, partly from the 13.5% alcohol and partly form solids left in the juice to give that extra layer of complexity. Very pleasant pear and honeysuckle flavours, long finish and perfect balance on the finish.

Pear and apple flavours up front, crisp refreshing mouth feel with tight acid, and a powdery dry finish. A perfect match when paired with an aperitivo, seafood and Thai cuisine
