The 2012 Châteauneuf du Pape Les Saumades is a blend of 95% Grenache and 5% Syrah, from sand and rolled-pebble terroirs, that spent ten months in concrete tanks. It exhibits classic garrigue, peppery herbs, loamy soil and hints of leather in its medium to full-bodied, sexy, seamless and beautifully textured profile. Possessing both complexity and richness, it’s an outstanding Châteauneuf to drink over the coming 7-8 years.

  • Domaine Alary Cote Du Rhone Cairanne

Domaine Alary Cote Du Rhone Cairanne

A deep blackcurrant-red colour, with bright cherry highlights. A profusion of black fruit flavours and soft spices on the nose.

A rich full-bodied palate, sustained by freshness and a certain mineral touch. A silky, velvety tannic finish to enhance the balance.

A wine for early drinking but can be cellared for 2 to 3 years.

  • Drouin Pommeau De Normand

    Drouin Pommeau De Normand

A classic Normandy pommeau from Christian Drouin, aged for three-to-four years in oak barrels.

Three parts cider apple juice and one part calvados, the appellation for Pommeau de Normandie is a minimum aging of 14 months but this is almost double that time.

Supremely fresh, this has a beautiful farmhouse aroma and a moderate sweetness. It's apple juice with the structure of being fortified.
