This Shiraz is organic. 

The grapes were picked at the ideal ripeness to capture the strong fruit flavours without overpowering tannins or spice while retaining elegance and complexity. Raspberries with cinnamon and vanilla nuances.Mouth-filling raspberries and dark berries. Hints of licorice and black pepper with a lingering finish.

A fine match for tomato-based pasta dishes, lamb and Mediterranean-style casseroles.

To ensure the unique character of this sub-region is exemplified in the wine, small open fermenters and our basket press were employed to gently extract the wine. Ageing in the finest quality oak and selection of the truest barrels has created a wine that respects and expresses its place of origin. Shiraz wines from this region are typically characterised by lifted aromas of lavender and spice. The palate is full of red fruits, leather, cedar and fine, talc-like tannins.

The classic regional characters of dense, spicy blueberry fruit along with hints of liquorice, plum and all-spice are all delicately interwoven with 1/3 new and 2/3 older French oak. 2009 has all the hallmarks of being a truly great Eden Valley vintage and we believe this wine will age gracefully for 10 years+

Deep black core with a dark red black tinged hue. Leaping from the glass is a combination of spicy dark plum and liquorice scents followed by some ripe blackberry, subtle vanillin earth and pepper notes.
