Darenberg Footbolt Shiraz
$21.99*Generosity of fruit weight, combined with balanced, chewy tannins. What makes this wine stand out in the crowd is its ability to communicate a sense of place through its ethereal, complex and provocative earthy notes.
-
Darenberg Grenache Shiraz Original
$20.99*The Original exhibits all the hallmarks of this traditional d’Arenberg blend of shiraz and grenache. Immediately on the nose we are struck by a complex array of dark, sweet and savoury notes. Plums, liquorice, nutmeg and a subtle hint of cedar. The flavour profile develops in glass, initially appearing quite tight, then gently opening up with luscious mulberry and plum, laced with exotic soil like notes and cured meats. Simply put, this wine is exceptional value and gives as much pleasure in youth as it will with six to 10 years age behind it.
-
Darenberg Olive Grove Chardonnay
$17.99*The nose is aromatic and lifted with white flowers, tropical fruits, granny smith apples and white nectarine. The palate has considerable weight with a lovely mid palate of white peach, lime and a touch of brioche. There is zesty acidity that builds on the palate to a long savoury finish with a hint of cashew nut and faint, fine, textural tannins. The cool year shines through in the balanced delicate flavours from the McLaren Vale fruit.

D'arenberg The Ironstone
$79.99*On the nose we are struck by the typical dark fruits that drinkers of this wine have come to love and expect. Plums, mulberries, fresh soil and more developed peaty like notes are all apparent, with an underlying lick of exotic Indian spice. But, it is the irony, stone like character that gives away the vintage.
An abundance of fresh fruits on the palate marry well with the more complex characters of quince paste, cinnamon, nutmeg, star anise and earthy beetroot. Driving the core of the wine is that vintage trademark in the form of graphite and wet stone. This wine, while appearing open and generous already, will continue to age well thanks to the lively line of acidity and the abundance of fine gritty tannins. -
