Earthy herbal characters with hints of cedar and mushroom. The palate is concentrated with succulent dark fruits layered over smoky oak and fine mouth coating tannins.

Montalbera's Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato Riserva "Il Fondatore" is a full-bodied, complex Piedmontese red wine made from 100% Ruchè grapes. It's known for its intense, persistent, and aromatic nose with notes of wild berries evolving into oriental spices and black pepper. The wine is powerful on the palate, with great persistence and a balanced finish. It ages in French oak barrels for a period between 10 and 14 months, depending on the vintage. The wine is ruby red tending to garnet with aging, and pairs well with red meat dishes, roasts, and mature cheeses

Deep inky black & purple in colour. The nose is perfumed with lifted mint, blueberry, vanilla and spice with a touch of liquorice and white pepper in the background. Expansive palate, smooth lush ripe blue-black fruits, nicely balanced oak, plenty of concentration with a long finish.
