Very old vineyards selected in San Marzano and Sava. The soil is mainly red with a fine texture and a generally calcareous underground with few emerging rocks. The well-known redness of these soils is due to the presence of iron oxides. The climate is characterised by high temperatures all year round, very little rainfall and a wide temperature range between night and day, which has a positive influence on the quality of the grapes. This is the central area of d.o.p. Primitivo di Manduria.

Intense aromas of plums and cherries are just as present as tender Rosemary and vanilla notes. A very balanced and impressive representation of southern Italian wine.

Medium dark amber colour with pronounced golden highlights. Clean nutty aromas, light complexity and very agreeable. Brilliant wine - a good quality young Madeira in evolution. Medium rich flavour, nutty and slighty complex, with a good clean finish.

The Santa Carolina Reserva Carmenere is a rich, full-bodied Chilean red with deep garnet color, bursting with dark fruit (plum, blackberry, cherry), spice (pepper, bay leaf, vanilla), and herbal/earthy notes (roasted pepper, tobacco), offering a smooth, silky palate with soft tannins and a long, spicy finish, typically aged in French oak for complexity, pairing well with red meats and spicy dishes.
